Nomination of Candidates to the MEMABA Board of Trustees

We are pleased to invite nominations to the Association’s Board of Trustees for the ensuing term, 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2028. The election of the MEMABA Board of Trustees is scheduled on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, during the Annual General Membership Meeting of the Association. Pursuant to the Association’s By-laws, the members of the Board of Trustees shall be elected either in person or by representative authorized to act by written proxy. A Nominee to the Board of Trustees, either as a regular or independent member, must be nominated by at least twenty (20) members whose payroll numbers and signatures shall appear on the nomination letter. A Nominee must also possess all the qualifications and none of the disqualifications, as provided for in the Association’s By-Laws.


All candidates must meet the following qualifications:


– He must be a member in good standing of the Association;
– He shall be at least a college graduate having sufficient knowledge or experience in managing the business;
– He shall be at least twenty-one (21) years old;
– He shall have proven to possess integrity and probity; and
– He shall be assiduous.

The term of each Trustee is two (2) years. This means that the members elect the full Board of Trustees every two (2) years. No Trustee shall serve for more than two consecutive terms. An Independent Trustee shall hold office for a maximum cumulative term of nine (9) years. Thereafter, he/she will be
perpetually barred from any re-election in the Association as an independent trustee, but may continue to serve as a regular trustee.

You may send your nomination letter to the Office of the Corporate Secretary, GF Employee Services Center, Meralco Center, Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City, or via email at memaba.staff@meralco.com.ph on or before 9 January 2026.


Nominations received after this date shall no longer be honored nor be included in the list of nominees. If nomination letter is initially sent through e-mail, the original hard copy must still be received by the Office of the Corporate Secretary on or before the deadline.
